Cookie policy

The short version
This site sets one non-essential cookie: the Meta pixel, for advertising measurement. It loads only if you press Accept. Until you choose, and if you choose Reject, no Meta code is loaded at all. Nothing is requested from Meta's servers and no advertising cookie is set. The site works exactly the same either way.
What a cookie is here
"Cookie" is used loosely to cover cookies and similar technologies that store or read information on your device, including your browser's local storage. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we need your consent before using any of these unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for.
Strictly necessary, so no consent needed
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your basket | Remembers what you put in the basket so it is still there when you come back to the page. Stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. | Until you clear it or clear your browser storage |
| Your cookie choice | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected, so we do not ask again on every page. Also stored in local storage on your device. | Until you change it or clear your browser storage |
These are exempt from the consent requirement because without them the things you asked for, a basket that remembers and not being asked twice, could not work.
Advertising, only with your consent

| Meta pixel 1422433086492582 |
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland | Measuring how our advertising performs and building advertising audiences. It tells Meta which pages you looked at on this site and whether you added the Vireli Pulse to your basket. Meta also uses that information for its own purposes. |
This is not covered by the exemption for first party analytics, because the data goes to Meta for their own purposes, so it only ever runs on your consent.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same request, and choosing Reject stops the pixel loading from then on. Clearing your browser storage also resets the choice and we will ask again.
You can control how Meta uses information it has already collected in your Meta ad preferences, and you can block cookies generally in your browser settings or with a content blocker.
More detail
What we do with personal information generally, and the rights you have over it, is set out in our privacy policy.
