Who we are
Vireli ("we") is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at vireliuk@outlook.com.
What we collect
| Order details | Name, delivery address, email, phone if given, and what you bought. Collected by Shopify at checkout. |
|---|---|
| Payment details | Handled entirely by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your card number. |
| Basket | What you put in the basket is stored in your own browser, on your device. It is not sent to us. |
| Correspondence | Anything you email us, so we can answer. |
| Advertising data | If you consent, the Meta pixel records that you viewed the product or added it to a basket, tied to a Meta identifier. |
Why, and on what legal basis
- To take and fulfil your order — performance of our contract with you.
- To answer your questions — our legitimate interest in running a shop people can talk to.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
- To advertise — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies strictly necessary to run the site do not need your permission. Anything used for advertising or analytics does, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We do not currently run any advertising or analytics cookies. The Meta pixel is switched off in the site’s configuration, and it will stay off until a consent banner is in place and you have agreed to it.
Who we share it with
- Shopify — our shop and checkout platform.
- Royal Mail and our courier partners — to deliver your order.
- Meta — only if you have consented to advertising cookies.
- Shopify — again, for order confirmation and dispatch emails, and for our own accounting records.
We do not sell your personal information.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of those providers are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for [6] years to meet HMRC requirements. Correspondence is kept for [2] years. Advertising data is kept for as long as Meta's own retention settings allow.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to someone else. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email vireliuk@outlook.com and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
