Who we are
Vireli ("we") is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at vireliuk@outlook.com.
What we collect
| Order details | Name, delivery address, email, phone if given, and what you bought. Collected by Shopify at checkout. |
|---|---|
| Payment details | Handled entirely by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your card number. |
| Basket | What you put in the basket is stored in your own browser, on your device. It is not sent to us. |
| Correspondence | Anything you email us, so we can answer. |
| Advertising data | If you consent, the Meta pixel records that you viewed the product or added it to a basket, tied to a Meta identifier. |
Why, and on what legal basis
- To take and fulfil your order. Performance of our contract with you.
- To answer your questions. Our legitimate interest in running a shop people can talk to.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations. Legal obligation.
- To advertise. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies strictly necessary to run the site do not need your permission. Anything used for advertising or analytics does, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We use one advertising cookie: the Meta pixel, dataset ID 1422433086492582, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). We use it to measure how our advertising performs and to build advertising audiences. It tells Meta which pages you looked at on this site and whether you added the Vireli Pulse to your basket, and Meta also uses that information for its own purposes.
It loads only if you accept it. When you first arrive we ask, and until you choose Accept no Meta code is loaded at all. Nothing is requested from Meta's servers and no advertising cookie is set. If you choose Reject, the same is true and the site works exactly as it otherwise would. We do not restrict anything behind that choice.
Changing your mind. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage on this device only. To change it, use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same request, and choosing Reject stops the pixel loading on later pages. Clearing your browser storage also resets the choice, and we will ask again. You can also control how Meta uses what it has already collected in your Meta ad preferences. More detail is in our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
- Shopify. Our shop and checkout platform. It takes your order and payment, sends your confirmation and dispatch emails, and holds our order records.
- Royal Mail and our courier partners. To deliver your order.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Advertising measurement, through the Meta pixel described above, and only if you accept it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of those providers are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements. Correspondence is kept for two years. Advertising data is kept for as long as Meta's own retention settings allow.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to someone else. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email vireliuk@outlook.com and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
